Melinda Yousefi, PhD, oversees the Clinical Research department at Retina Consultants of Southern Colorado since 2019. She is a compassionate leader with over 15 years’ experience in healthcare industry. At the helm, she strives to create harmony and cohesiveness among employees to ensure a prosperous, efficient, and effective working environment. She is known for demonstrating a natural aptitude for analytics, as well as for deadline management and process optimization. Melinda has a solid track record of contributing directly to company growth and expansion. 

Her professional strengths include excellent interpersonal skills amongst staff, patients, and physicians. In addition, she excels in data analysis, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, mission timelines, clinical contracts, and finance. She holds a green belt six sigma project management certification. She delivers outstanding results on the latter areas of expertise requiring utilization of effective communication and critical thinking skills, policy development, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and maximize returns.

Before clinical research, she was the laboratory quality assurance administrator.  In that role, Melinda conceptualized, designed, and implemented key performance metrics that monitor processes and workflows to achieve program goals and objectives.

Outside clinic, Melinda enjoys spending time with loved ones and home improvement.
